Subject: MaxTF for Telefinder 4.0 BBS's

This release of MaxTF 1.5 comes with the GoodNews NNTP Server - a 5
session news server that integrates with Telefinder!  This is the first
Internet NNTP (news) server to be released for the Macintosh!

This package runs on ANY Telefinder BBS, whether on the Internet or not!

The MaxTF Combo Package is an integrated Telefinder BBS enhancer system.
The  package includes TF NNTP/FTP Client (allows FTP requests from local
dial-up users), Renewal TF (provides caller log display and hourly quotes,
etc), Itsy SitC Citer (generates ALLFILES, NEWFILES, and Daily new files
lists), File Search Engine (allows fast searches of file descriptions), and
the exciting new GoodNews NNTP Server!

1.  optionally schedules the NNTP Usenet system to run on an hourly basis
to provide news for your Telefinder BBS on the Internet from any number of
servers!
2.  posts news messages originating from your BBS to any news server above!
3.  optionally maintains your PPP link connection to the Internet if you use PPP
(did you know that PPP can't tell when your phone connection fails?)
4.  optionally opens PPP connections only long enough to pull news in and
handle online FTP requests - PPP-On-Demand
5.  optionally launches Renewal TF or another application every hour
6.  optionally launches FTPd at startup (or any other apps)
7.  starts Mail Server automatically *after* PPP/MacTCP is running
8.  handles FTP requests from your online users with automatic type
(binary, text, MacBinary II) recognition!
9.  keeps Node Server in the forefront every hour (maximizes data throughput)
10. optionally launches File Search Engine when search requests are waiting
11. optionally launches Itsy SitC Citer once a day to create file listings
    which are used by File Search Engine and your callers
12. optionally provides short outbound fax messages from online or any Internet
    caller using ValueFax and most any fax modem
13. optionally imports messages from any mailing list or specified user folder
    to online conferences

Changes from previous MaxTF releases:
The Client now does logging (and maintains the log size at 32k) of PPP
failures and news posting problems.  In addition, it will POST messages of
unlimited size.  Messages imported from mailing lists are no longer
restricted to 32k - Mail Server should handle the large size in its own
way.
