Abstract of INFO-MAC archived encoded Mac binary file 'prn/powersprint-152.hqx' Uploaded 04/23/1999 645887 bytes From: akua@bluewin.ch Subject: PowerSPrint V1.52 Use PowerSPrint is a pair of AppleScript applications used to share an otherwise ³unsharable² printer on an AppleTalk (EtherTalk, LocalTalk) network. They may be used ³out-of-the-box² or opened and modified as wished. Requirements AppleScript, System 7.x or 8.x How it Works A client prints as if the printer were connected to one of its ports. Instead of the Monitor application being launched, the PowerSPrint Client application will be launched instead. It will transfer the file to the server and remove it from your Spool folder. Once on the client machine, the file will be printed to the printer. History V1.52 (10. Apr 99) + Fixed some client problems that occured when spool files already existed in the spool folder, further setup of the client was not possible. + Fixed an ³out of memory² error in the client. + Fixed operation with older System SW (7.6) on the server machine. V1.50 (5. Apr 99) + Finally eliminated the need for clients to ever be brought to the foreground. + Updated the info displays and cleaned up a lot of the code. + Added option to re-enter the user/password to connect.
